VoidDrive ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. This application is designed to function primarily offline, with minimal data transmission.
By using VoidDrive, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
What: Exact GPS location (latitude, longitude, speed, bearing). Why: To map your driving route, calculate trip statistics (distance, speed), and enable gamification features (claiming territories). Storage: Location data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your location history to any external server unless you explicitly choose to share a trip summary (e.g., as an image/text via system share sheet). Background Access: This app collects location data even when the app is closed or not in use to enable continuous trip tracking and Bluetooth OBD connection maintenance. You can disable this in your device settings.
What: Vehicle Health Monitor data such as RPM, Speed, Coolant Temperature, Fuel Level, VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Why: To display real-time dashboard metrics and provide vehicle health insights. Storage: Stored locally on your device in trip logs.
What: Voice commands via microphone. Why: To enable hands-free control of the app (e.g., "Navigate to Home", "Show Engine Status"). Storage: Audio is processed locally on-device via Android Speech Recognition. Audio files are not saved or transmitted.
What: We collect your email address and authentication credentials (if you choose to create an account). Why: To securely manage your vehicle profiles, settings, and subscription status across devices. Storage: Account data is managed via Google Firebase Authentication. We do not store passwords in plain text.
Usage: If you enable AI Diagnostics, specific text-based vehicle data (DTC codes, sensor readings) is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. Data Shared: Only technial vehicle parameters. No personal identifiers or location data are sent to the AI. Privacy: Data is processed according to Google's AI Data Policy.
Usage: We use OpenStreetMap data via the osmdroid library for rendering maps. We use Uber's H3 library for the hexagonal grid system. Data Shared: Map tiles are downloaded from OpenStreetMap servers. Your location is not sent to them.
Usage: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription capability and Google Play Billing for payment processing. Data Shared: An anonymous App User ID and subscription status. We do not have access to your credit card or financial information; this is handled entirely by Google Play.
